I kinda forgot when this picture was taken. All I can remember was my friend in the office just got his new smartphone and want to took pictures here and there. He asked me to became his model. Well since we’re not too busy so I said yes.
Among all his other pictures, I prefer this one. I even use this picture in my other blog as my profile picture. I love how the picture said that I welcome the guests at the door, to enter my place. Sometimes I miss those time, when I can take pictures with my friends hehehe.
It’s always my dream to travel to China. It all started when I was a little girl, watched kung fu series and movies. I was fascinated with the costumes. Along the time, I read about the history and inspired me to learn Mandarin.
Mandarin is one of the language that commonly use in the world. So it would be nice if one day I wake up and be fluent in Mandarin, considering this language is complicated one. Wrong intonation, wrong meaning. Not to mention the letters,,, a lot! So it will be cool if one day the magic comes to me, make me fluent in Mandarin.
The first thing I want to do is applying to a place where they need Mandarin speakers. Probably like embassy or commercial companies. I saw lots of job vacancy requires fluency in Mandarin. It will be a good opportunity for my career. Who knows, I can visit China one day for business trip hehehe.
Lots of place to visit in China. With my knowledge in Mandarin, I can communicate easily with locals and understand what is written. With that, I also can good bargain to when I go shopping hehehe. I do believe speaking Mandarin will open lots of opportunity for me…
*Prompt 16 April: If you could wake up tomorrow and be fluent in any language you don’t currently speak, which would it be? Why? What’s the first thing you do with your new linguistic skills? Take That, Rosetta!
People around me knows my reaction when it comes to receiving good news. I will definitely jump like a little girl receiving candies. Yes, I will jump here and there, celebrating the good news we just received.
It’s just my habit since I was little. A habit I still do until now. Beside jumping, I also add the clapping hand. Yes, another sign of being a childish person. What else I do??? Oh, add some squealing hehehe. Then laugh with all my heart. We should celebrate good news, right?
After that, I will say my prayers in mind, thanking God for His blessings. It’s also a habit that my family taught me. Always remember God for all the events that happen in our lives. Remember God also keep you down to earth. Reminds you that everything happens for a reason. Being grateful person.
Despite weekdays, I guess I got sick in the wrong time. So today I spent my noon in one of the empty meeting rooms in my office and took a nap.
On Sunday, I was out for reporting an event and got a bit soaked up because the rain poured so hard. So yeah, the result I was having flu right after I got home last night. This morning, woke up with cold and asked permission to come late to the office.
At the office, after lunch I took a medicine and immediately went to sleep for solid 90 minutes HAHAHA. Luckily my work kinda slow so I can rest for awhile. I do had a weird dream, but that’s my secret hehehe.
*Prompt 5 April: At noon today, take a pause in what you’re doing or thinking about. Make a note of it, and write a post about it later. High Noon
Hmmmm I’m not good at telling jokes. Especially in writing form. However, I want to share stories that I think,,, totally made an epic fail of the month. If I remember it, I will be so embarrass. I always think, “How stupid I am!”
It started when me and my boyfriend became backstage crew for one of the DJ performed in festival music. We just lounging around in hotel nearby the venue when we saw some familiar faces of some metal band. My boyfriend is a metal music fan. He knows almost every metal band, including this band. He told me, “That’s Lamb Of God!”
“Really??? Can we take a picture with them?” I asked him. Well, he’s the one that holding a camera that time. He said okay so we approached the band. However, I felt a bit unsure with the band. I had doubts that this band was Lamb Of God. I’ve seen the personnel on the internet and these people a bit different from what I’ve seen. I saw the same concern from my boyfriend’s face. We approached them anyway.
“Excuse me. Can I take a picture with you?” I asked the man with a long hair. He smiled and said, “Sure. Do you know who we are?”
I was a bit surprise and looked to my boyfriend. With nervous, I answered, “Are you Lamb Of God?”
Then everybody burst to laugh. “No we’re not!” said the long-hair man. I smacked my boyfriend’s shoulder. He also surprised. I guess my face turned red that day. That was embarrassing moment of my life. Then the long-hair man said, “We are Terrorizer.”
My boyfriend just laughed, realizing his mistake. I also laughed with the long-hair man, which I know as Lee Harrison, the guitarist. He took the picture with me anyway. Finished, me and my boyfriend chit chat for awhile with Lee and wished him good luck with the performance for next day. We walked to the venue. We laughed sooooo hard realized how foolish we were.
Anyway, I think that’s the biggest epic fail of the year,,, so far. I don’t want to experience another embarrassing moment like that ever again.
*Prompt 18 March: Tell us a joke! Knock-knock joke, long story with a unexpected punchline, great zinger — all jokes are welcome! Ha Ha Ha
